Slow Down

So absorbed in all I do,
With voices calling, pulling through—
A quiet whisper comes to me:
“Slow down, Vanisha… let yourself be.”
Chasing tasks that never end,
Leaves no time for soul to mend.

First-Hand
The questions rise like waves in me,
The answers I try to find outside—
Indicating my restless mind.

Enough of borrowed wisdom light,
I long to see with my own sight.
No more in pages far and wide—
The truth I seek now waits inside.

So I sit—
Not to understand,
But to be.
Sincerity is the key.
I make a timetable
For my daily meditation practice.

The Shift
I wondered how to be aware,
So I started walking slowly.
Voices crowded my head—
Annoying, but familiar,
Until suddenly—
My attention landed on my breath.
That’s where peace began.

The Power of Silence
What thoughts can do—
We underestimate.
What silence can do—
We have no idea.

Poem
I enjoy spending time with myself,
Now and then he and she.
